Mr. Eduardo (Eddie) Rodriguez has more than 25 years of experience leading Fortune 500 and privately held organizations in the areas of administrative compliance, regulation, mergers & acquisitions, public policy, business operations, planning, and implementation strategies. A business-focused executive with a Juris Doctor degree (JD Law), he was a key lead officer in producing the strategies that led a major electric utility through Chapter 11 and restructured it to a strong accountability and financial position.
In addition to this successful resolution of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy, he managed a $300 million budget and staff and negotiated a $25 million cross-border sales agreement with Mexico for El Paso Electric. In 1986, while serving as Assistant General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, he eliminated and outsourced the internal stock transfer operation that saved over $600,000 annually.
Eddie is a business-focused leader who integrates financial, economic, and legal aspects into designing and implementing strategic business plans, operational structures, and organizational policies and procedures. He understands the complexity of global and regulated businesses; he is disciplined under pressure; and he is an advocate for business transparency and ethical standards.
Positions he has held include Chief Operations Officer, Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Legal Officer, Audit Committee Chairman on a publicly traded Corporate Board of Directors, Corporate Secretary, Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Assistant City Attorney for the City of El Paso, Texas. He has served as Chair, Advisor, Trustee, or active member in several civic and non-profit organizations including Avance?El Paso Chapter, Project Arriba, Inc., A Workforce Development Program, El Paso Country Day School Board, Regional Economic Development Corporation, The Paso Del Norte Group, Nature Conservancy of New Mexico, and the United Way for El Paso County.
Eddie earned a Juris Doctor Degree from Saint Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas and a Bachelor of Arts degree with High Honors in Political Science from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He is licensed to Practice Law (and is a member in good standing) in Texas and New Mexico and is also a member of the American Bar and El Paso Bar Associations.
